“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm, let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:58
AFLC Development Department
The Development Department is to raise funds for 10 ministries of the AFLC through visiting partners and churches in the AFLC. The Development Director works directly with the directors to help raise funds for their budgets and project needs are. In this way the department can give accurate information to the donors and churches.
The Development Department’s job is to raise funds for those ministries and special projects by building relationships with donors to help them become the best stewards of what God has entrusted to them. The department tries to help partners understand that God owns everything and we are but stewards of what He has entrusted to us. The department does not simply come asking for money.
The role of the Development department is to seek out the interests and desires of the donor. The Development Department then can implement the giving to the desired ministry.
The other role of the Development Department is being a good resource for donors as they are setting up their estate. This is done by asking questions about what the Lord wants them to do with what He has entrusted to them and what is best for their family. The Development Department shares ideas of possible avenues that may be of benefit to them, such as Irrevocable Trusts, Family Trusts, Revocable Trust, Living Trusts, Donor Advised Funds and Charitable Remainder Trusts. We do not give any legal advice but do have Financial Planners and Estate Attorneys that can be shared with donors.
Please feel free to contact Development Department if you have any questions.
